GLENN ADAMSON'S OPEN FREQUENCY PROFILE ON CAROL MCNICOLL FEATURED IN 'THIS IS TOMORROW'
This Is Tomorrow, the online contemporary art magazine, have posted a wonderful Open Frequency Profile by Dr. Glenn Adamson about Marsden Woo Gallery artist Carol McNicoll. Originally published on Axisweb in 2013, the article is a brilliantly personal account of the artist's life and work.
'Best known, perhaps, as a ceramic artist – her work in the medium is in the collection of many museums…she is also (in no particular order) a political activist, community gardener, clothing designer, subcultural denizen, ace draughtsman, and when it comes to her own environment, an architect.'
To read this fascinating piece please click here.
Carol McNicoll will be exhibiting a new body of work alongside fellow artist Jacqui Poncelet at Marsden Woo Gallery from 6 November - 20 December 2014. In the meantime, take a look at some images of her work throughout the years...

NEW PUBLICATION BY ALISON BRITTON NOW AVAILABLE AT MARSDEN WOO GALLERY
ALISON BRITTON: Collected Writing on Art, Craft and Design (2013)
Alison Britton's collected writings review the unstable place of craft in the spectrum of art and design. Britton, one of today's leading ceramicists and a critical writer, has chosen a range of her own texts from essays to book reviews and interviews, which demonstrate a continuing desire to test the boundaries of her practice. This is essential reading not only for fellow ceramicists but also anyone interested in the role of materiality and making in the wider cultural field.
This new book is available from selected stockists, including Marsden Woo Gallery, and is priced at £20.00.
