Skeins of Now seeks to arrest aspects of contemporary culture that speak about South Korea as it exists today, rather than how it was in the past or how it intends to be in the future. The exhibition forms a document, not only of the present moment, but also of the experience of encountering it as an outsider: one who must work to find their own form of dialogue and cultural reference points without easy access to conventional forms of spoken or written language.
